Downtown Summerlin lands a casual new restaurant out of California today with the opening of Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. The idea here is to take nostalgic dishes and give them a twist. Executive chef Gabriel “Gabe” Caliendo has dishes such as the campfire pot roast, a black and bleu burger and ceviche tostados. Some dishes on the “Nutritious & Delicious” menu roll in at less than 650 calories such as a chimichurri mahi mahi and a lemon caper chicken pasta. The restaurant also plans to roll out brunch on the weekends and a dog-friendly menu for the patio. Happy hour specials run from 3 to 6 p.m. daily and 9pm to close. Come in and enjoy with us.
