Beer Facts And How It Saved The World
Most of us are aware of how great beer is, but not many of us realize the magnitude of its greatness -- like the fact that it saved the world and all, at least according to the folks at Online Bachelor Degree Programs who created this nifty infographic.
Beer's life-saving historical properties include saving people from giardia and worse, because the water was contaminated and beer was safer to drink. Thanks to super strong beer created by midwives, women were able to experience easier labor -- and maybe weren't as scared to have another, thereby helping grow the world's population (in a time when that was actually needed).
Other notable beer contributions to the world include the Egyptian pyramids, the gathering of our founding fathers, and aiding in the discovery of a polio vaccine. Check out the inforgraphic below to see how else beer helped saved the world.
