Primary Uses: Allowing you to set up a user account/profile, interacting with other users, improving Service content, customizing the advertising/content you and your friends see, communicating specials/new features, adapting the community to your needs, researching network effectiveness, and developing new tools.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, Total Happy Hour automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or mobile platform.
Data Types: Location, IP address, cookie information, and the specific pages you requested.
Usage: We treat this data as non-Personal Information, except where required otherwise under applicable law. We typically use this data only in aggregate form. We may provide aggregate information to our partners to help them understand how often people use their services and our Service.
C. Information We Receive from Third Parties
We receive and store information from third parties that interact with the Service or provide services to us.
Transaction Redemptions: For example, if you unlock a Total Happy Hour special that is redeemed through a credit card swipe, the credit card processor may share transaction details (like the time your card was swiped).
Third-Party Apps: If you choose to use apps that share your Personal Information, activities, and/or content with Total Happy Hour. Please read the privacy policy of any such app to understand its sharing practices.
2. Information Sharing
Personal Information about our users is an integral part of our business. We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone, except as explicitly detailed below. Your publicly available information may be licensed or provided to third parties as outlined below.
A. Sharing with Friends
Your connected friends can see your:
Location and time of each of your check-ins
Name, email, phone number, photo, and hometown
Mayorships, badges, and tips you write
Links to connected Twitter and Facebook accounts, and your friend list
Warning: Individuals reading this information may use or disclose it to others outside of our control. We urge you to think carefully before including private details in public comments, tips, or content.
B. Businesses, Locations, Events, and Brands
Claimed Locations: When you check-in to a ‘claimed location’, your check-in data is shared with that specific business so they can better provide services and rewards (offers and specials) to you.
Aggregated Brand Data: Brands may have access to aggregated and anonymous data (such as anonymized check-in data not tied to individual users) of users who “like” their brand.
C. Publicly Available Information, the Total Happy Hour API, and Third-Party Apps
Public Data: Your public user profile information, tips, likes, public photos, created lists, and lists of friends are public. This information may be searchable by search engines and shared through our API to a wide range of users and services.
API Developers: If you or your friends use third-party apps developed with our API, certain Personal Information may be made available to those third-party developers. Use of these apps is subject to their own privacy policies. We do not guarantee they will follow our rules or our Privacy Policy. Your friends will also be able to see which third-party apps you use.
Analytics: We may share or disclose aggregated and anonymous data (not tied to individual users) to third parties and API users for analytical purposes.
D. Operational Sharing & Business Transfers
Agents: We employ other companies and individuals to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Our agents do not have any right to use this data beyond what is necessary to assist us, and they must provide a comparable level of protection.
Partners: We work closely with a variety of businesses to co-market or provide joint products, services, or promotions. When a business is associated with your transaction, we will share the relevant Personal Information with them.
Business Transfers: If Total Happy Hour is acquired, goes out of business, or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.

3. Determining and Sharing Location
Total Happy Hour is a location-based service. To function properly, it must know your location.
Active App Use: Whenever you open and interact with the Total Happy Hour app or visit lasvegashappyhour.net, we use location data (e.g., latitude and longitude) to tailor your experience (showing nearby locations, friends, and tips). This real-time active data is NOT shared with others.
Background Location: If enabled, the app will periodically collect your device’s location even when you are not actively interacting with it to provide notifications about nearby friends, tips, or interesting venues.
When Location IS Shared: Your location data is ONLY shared with others when you proactively decide to “check in” to a venue, or when a friend mentions you in their check-in (if you have turned on the ‘check-in by friends’ feature).
Location History: Each check-in is saved to your “Check-in History.” You can delete individual check-ins from the details page on our website/app. If you delete your Total Happy Hour account, your entire check-in history is permanently removed from our active database.
4. Communications, Cookies, and Security
A. Email Communications
If you do not want to receive commercial emails from us, please adjust your preferences during registration, via your account settings page, or via the ‘settings’ tab on our website.
Note: You will still be governed by legal notices (such as updates to this Privacy Policy), and you remain responsible for reviewing them.
We may receive a read confirmation when you open an email from us, which we use to help improve our communication relevance.
B. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our agents use cookies, pixels, local storage, and app platform identifiers to provide our products and services. You can control cookies through your browser settings. By continuing to use our Service, you consent to our use of these technologies in accordance with this policy and our Cookie Policy.
Advertising Partners: We may work with advertisers or ad service providers to serve ads to your devices. These providers may use cookies or pixels (we do not share identifying information with advertisers). This policy does not cover the use of cookies by third-party advertisers.
Opting Out: To opt out of behavioral advertisements from our advertising partners, email us at privacy@lasvegashappyhour.net. You can also limit ad tracking via your iOS system settings or opt-out of behaviorally targeted ads outside of the app via your Total Happy Hour account settings.
C. Account Security & Third-Party Links
Password Protection: Your account information is password-protected. You are responsible for preventing unauthorized access by selecting a strong password and signing off after using shared computers or browsers.
Security Limitations: While we endeavor to safeguard user information to keep it private, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Hardware/software failures and other external factors may compromise security at any time.
External Links: Our Service contains links to other websites. Total Happy Hour is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of external sites.
5. User Controls: Accessing, Deleting, and Managing Data
A. Accessing Personal Information
You can view, and in certain situations update, the following information by visiting your user settings page (or the “History” tab for usage details):
Password
Phone number
Email address
Other User profile information (e.g., home city, photo)
Usage information (e.g., check-in history)
B. Deleting Your Account
You can terminate your account by clicking the “delete account” link on your account settings page.
What gets deleted: Your profile, check-in history, earned badges, User Submissions, and received promotional offers will be deleted from our active servers.
Retention period: Due to our system maintenance protocols, deletion may not be instantaneous. Residual copies may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days.
C. Removing Specific Information
Even after you remove information from your profile, copies of that data may remain viewable elsewhere if it was previously shared with others, distributed via your privacy settings, or copied/stored by other users. Removed information may persist on backup media for up to 90 days prior to permanent deletion.
6. International Users
Our servers are hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be processed and stored there. Consequently, U.S. federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement agencies may obtain disclosure of your data through applicable U.S. laws. Your use of the Service constitutes your explicit consent to this data transfer.

Total Happy Hour may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
